What is ScopeLinq, and how does it work?
ScopeLinq turns existing emails, messages, and meeting notes into a clear scope record that your client can review and confirm. When a new request arrives, ScopeLinq checks it against the confirmed record and identifies whether the request is Included, Additional work, or Needs clarification. It cites the relevant line from the confirmed record when available, helping both sides understand what was agreed without relying on memory or unsupported AI opinions.
Does ScopeLinq work for monthly retainers and fixed-fee projects?
Yes. ScopeLinq supports both monthly retainers and fixed-fee projects. You can document deliverables, revision rounds, turnaround times, fees, project terms, and rates for additional work. This gives you and your client a shared reference for what was agreed, whether the engagement runs month to month or ends when the project is delivered.
Is this the answer to scope creep?
It's the answer to the moment scope creep happens: the message lands, the record answers, the reply goes out as a quote or a yes. Your contract has the rule; this is the moment.
How does ScopeLinq handle requests beyond what was agreed?
ScopeLinq checks new client requests against your confirmed scope record. It identifies whether the request is included, additional work, or needs clarification, citing the relevant confirmed line when available. If the request involves additional work, you can edit a suggested reply, prepare a quote, and ask the client for approval before starting.
Can ScopeLinq help when a client says, "It's easy with AI, can you just add it"?
Yes. A task may be easier to complete with AI, but that does not automatically make it part of the agreed deliverables. ScopeLinq checks the request against the confirmed scope, helping you explain what is included, identify additional work, and discuss the agreed extra-work rate before proceeding. The decision stays with you.
Do I need ScopeLinq if I already have contracts or project management software?
You can keep using both. Your contract defines the original terms, while project management software helps organize tasks and delivery. ScopeLinq focuses on the shared scope record and the requests that arise after work begins. It complements your existing tools by helping you refer to what both parties confirmed instead of searching through email threads or relying on memory.
Is ScopeLinq just an AI tool that summarizes meeting notes?
No. ScopeLinq uses your existing project discussions to draft a structured scope record, but the process includes human review and client confirmation. You can edit the draft before sending it to your client. Once the record is confirmed, later requests are checked against it and classified as Included, Additional work, or Needs clarification. Responses cite the confirmed record when possible rather than relying on an unsupported AI opinion.
Do my clients have to confirm the scope record?
ScopeLinq lets clients review and confirm the scope record through a simple confirmation process. Both parties receive a shared reference, helping reduce misunderstandings about deliverables and expectations. If a client does not confirm, ScopeLinq can document that the record was sent and viewed, with timestamps and a limited reminder process. Its Proceeding Notice can also document the context when work proceeds without confirmation. An unconfirmed record should not be treated as equivalent to an agreement confirmed by both parties.
Do I need to record calls or change how I take meeting notes?
No. ScopeLinq does not require you to record calls or adopt a new note-taking system. You can paste existing emails, text conversations, meeting notes, or material exported from a note-taking tool. ScopeLinq turns that information into a structured scope record for you to review and send to your client.
Is my project data used to train AI?
No. Under our privacy policy, text sent to Anthropic's API is processed under its commercial API terms and is not used to train models. ScopeLinq does not build profiles across your past records or use one record's data to inform another's analysis. Text submitted through the free check without an account is automatically deleted within 24 hours. For details on data processing, storage, and retention, please review our
Privacy Policy.
